Welcome to our Journey!

The friends and family God has placed in our lives are important to us. That's you! We would love it if each and every one of you shared in this amazing journey we're on, leading up to our big day. October 22, 2010.

Day 240: Is it weird?

QUESTION ON MY MIND:
(as I continue to scour the internet and think...)

Since the following items are only used once, and most people buy them (maybe there's a reason why... that's why I'm asking this), is it WEIRD to borrow things like....

Cake knife & server
Toasting Glasses
Ringbearer Pillow
Flower Girl Basket (although I know most people give this to the flower girl to keep :-) )
Decor (I'm looking for a tons of glass containers/vases)
Unity Candle Stand
Decorations

If I ended up buying this stuff, just want all of you who are not already married to know that you are MORE THAN WELCOME to borrow it when your special day comes :-) Sharing is caring!! Lol.

 Pondering,
Kathleen

  1. the flower girl basket is usually the gift for the little girl but can be something as simple as a white basket from michaels. The goblets you probably would want to have to keep but dont get cheesy "bride" and "groom" labled ones we went with crystal goblets so we could have some we could keep forever and use on special occasion ( I shouldnt have called the others cheesy sorry to anyone who had those :). For the ring bearer pillow I cros stitched our names and wedding date on it and made it in to a pillow using the scrap fabric and lace from my wedding gown. Thats my 2 cents I know your wedding will be the most amazing thing ever because you guys are doing it right lol love ya :)

  2. Look at Joann fabrics for baskets adn stuff. They usually have baskets for 50-70% off! and you can hot glue a cute ribbon onto it or something easily.

  3. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I AM VICTORIOUS!

I figured out how to comment!!

Anyways, if you aren't stuck on keeping any of these things, the church I got married at had a unity candle stand that I could use.

I bought a BUNCH of those little fish bowl looking things to float candles in and I had a couple of red vases too. I think I gave them to the Brownings but chances are that they're still sitting in their garage if you wanna check them out.

Also, I have NO idea where I put my ring bearer pillow (which is slightly upsetting), but I'll look harder. It might be in the bad with my veil. =)

E-bay has lots of selection on this type of stuff. You should check it out. And in colors you are having in your wedding.
